NWS holds SkyWarn training in Davison County, SD
On Thursday, April 26th, 2007 the Sioux Falls NWS held a SKYWARN Spotter training session at the Davison County Fairgrounds building in Mitchell, SD. The Severe Studios Chase Team was present for this training and also used the evening to recruit members for upcoming chase teams.

Live ChaseCam a success
Over 230 people from 11 countries checked out the debut of our live ChaseCam on 4/24 (sorry only 50 people could watch at the same time!). Thanks for the outstanding support! We will be working to tweak the quality of our feed as the spring storm season continues.

Tornadoes in South Dakota and Kansas
The Severe Studios Chase Team observed several funnels, tornadoes, and other severe weather in South Dakota and Kansas between Friday, April 20th, 2007 and Tuesday, April 24th, 2007. For more details, see our video section and our chaser blogs.

NWS holds SkyWarn training in Lake County, SD
On Thursday, April 19th, 2007 the NWS held a SKYWARN Spotter training session at the 4-H County Extension building in Madison, SD. SevereStudios' Kenny Allen participated in the training and presented video of the five tornadoes the team caught on tape last season. Approximately 50 individuals were in attendance at the session.

Weather Specialist Kelly Martinson Gives Presentation
Severe Studios' Weather Specialist Kelly Martinson (Kory Hartman) presented a workshop to the Mitchell, SD Exchange Club at the James Valley Community Center on Monday, April 2nd, 2007.
The workshop focused on storm chasing and severe weather awareness. Martinson presented information that individuals can use to become prepared for the 2007 severe weather season.
