Extreme Flooding in South Dakota
Heavy rains created extensive flooding througout South Dakota in May. Extreme storms dropping 3-10 inches of rain in the James River Valley on May 4th and 5th caused the Lake Hanson dam to wash away, virtually draining Lake Hanson. The dam has been repaired and because of continued heavy rain, the lake is refilling at a nice rate. To view the flood damage video click here.
