Gustav damage reports

We're begining to hear about damage coming out of the area affected by hurricane Gustav. Most of the damage appears to be minor in comparison to the horrible destruction brought on by Katrina. However, there has been some overtopping of the industrial canal in the upper 9th ward. So far there have been no reports of major flooding out of the area though.

Baton Rouge is currently being hit with 80-90 MPH winds associated with what's left of the eye wall. The last report from the NWS METAR station in Baton Rouge showed winds of 55 MPH with a gust to 91 MPH. With winds of that strength we could see trees down, (obviously) power lines down, and possibly some structural damage.

There continue to be tornadoes produced all the way as far east as the Florida panhandle, and as far west as western Louisiana by the stronger outer bands associated with Gustav.
