Little Sioux Tornado Path - RevisitedJon Davies has posted a recap of the end of the Little Sioux/Moorhead tornado's path, where Kory Hartman and Kenny Allen were located. As a result of our own research and that of John and Shawna Davies, we can safely conclude that it was, indeed a tornado that Kory and Kenny encountered on June 11, 2008. Kind of
With the rain-wrapped nature of the Tornado, there was some speculation by other chasers and by NOAA folks that Kory and Kenny might have been stuck in the RFD of that storm. Obviously by looking at the video you can see the actual direction change of the wind/condensation funnel.
As Jon Davies said on his blog, this just proves that doing a damage survey is harder than it looks. Thank you to Jon and Shawna Davies for all their help with retracing the path of this Tornado.
