Now, Barton County, Kansas is under a Tornado Warning, including the city of Great Bend.

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Mesoscale Discussion (MD) for western and central Nebraska. Damaging winds likely. Watch soon.

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Mesoscale Discussion (MD) for eastern New Mexico and west Texas.

Meanwhile, a strong thunderstorm is moving along the SD/NE border west of Yankton, SD. The storm is taking on a bow-echo shape and possibly ramping up for some wind damage and large hail across southeast South Dakota and extreme northeast Nebraska.

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa and Minnesota.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed most of Eastern Nebraska and parts of Kansas in a Moderate risk of Severe Thunderstorms today.

Meanwhile, the SPC has also issued a Mesoscale Discussion for most of the Sioux Falls Weather Service area on a possible watch.

The Moderate Risk area is outlined more for extremely large hail and strong wind. Kory Hartman is ready to chase this afternoon.
