Seeking Team Members for 2009

Do you want the opportunity to join one of the leading chase teams in North America?

SevereStudios Inc. is looking for individuals that are interested in severe weather. You should have at least three years experience, be SKYWARN (or other Weather Service training), RACES, REACT, ARES, or Emergency Management trained, and be computer literate. Previous media experience is a big help, but not required.

Successful candidates will become a SevereStudios Associate Chaser or a SevereStudios Supporting Member. This includes the opportunity to publish blogs, upload photos and videos, and stream live video feeds from the field to our SevereStreaming servers. Some Associate Chasers can and do make money from chasing for SevereStudios.

There is also an opportunity to have your personal reports presented on local media outlets. If you have your own chase vehicle, appropriate chase equipment, and are ready to chase in North America, we want to talk to you.

SevereStudios is the leader in live streaming of severe weather. We average over 6,500 unique visitors to our website each month and get millions of hits during severe weather outbreaks. Through our media contracts, live video and weather information gets to the general public when they need it most.

Interested individuals will go through a short interview process and attend SevereStudios meetings. All successful candidates will go through an orientation and training period.

Desired candidate skills include:
-- Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing.
-- Computer-literate performer with software knowledge covering a wide variety of applications.
-- Resourceful team player who excels at building trusting relationships with colleagues, the NWS, media outlets, and the general public.
-- Strong desire to give back to the community, serve at will, and donate time and energy.

We need individuals that are ready to help continue the development of the largest, highly coordinated, and focused chase teams in the world. We seek candidates in all locations in the world as this will help us cover more area more effectively. There is a potential for some pay and you may be given SevereStudios apparel, SevereStudios logos/stickers, access to the SevereStudios site, and a SevereStudios email address.
