Forecast Models
Thanks for your help, I will check out the web site you provided.

To be honest, there's a lot of information out on the internet if you know what to search for. There's a lot I don't know about as well.
There's different model parameters to look for though. http://www.psci.net/~gfritz/index11.html gives a good idea on what you should actually be looking for, and values you should be looking for. Obviously the models are hardly ever right on, so there's a lot of interpretation and guess work involved too. At least that should get you started, and then I guess the only thing after that is experience.
Or taking courses in Meteorology I guess?
Best of luck
Forecast Models
Thank you very much for answering my question concerning radar. I have looked at both of those products. The only other question I have is I would like to learn how to read forecast models better. Is there a book I could buy to help me with this, or is there a place on the web I could look at. Again, thanks. I know you are busy..Happy Chasing !!!
Weather Software
I use quite a bit of different programs. The main program we use is GRLevel3 from Gibson Ridge software. That provides us with Radar data. I want to get GR2AE (Analyst Edition) which gives the cool 3d images you see on SevereStudios from time to time.
For forecasts, I use a program called F5Data from convective development. And of course, I use a web browser to get all of the weather data available on the internet including the SPC.
Let me know if you are curious about anything more specific.
Ben, I just found the
Ben, I just found the SevereStudios web site last week and I think it is great. I always wondered what weather software do you use? I have been looking at several. Thanks.
