Willmar, MN Tornado - July 11, 2008

Kenny Allen and Kory Hartman intercepted this large cone-shaped tornado on the SE side of Willmar, MN on July 11th, 2008.

In this video, you can hear Kenny Allen discussing the severe situation with Minneapolis National Weather Service. SevereStudios worked with the local NWS office all night long to bring them reports of severe weather, including this large tornado.

The tornado destroyed multiple homes, barns, out buildings, and a turkey farm. Watch Damage Video

I live in Willmar and this tornado completely wiped out my house, cars and boat. I have the footage of it coming at my house, but it looks so much bigger in this footage. I am thankful we had a basement to go into.

Willmar is my town and we

Willmar is my town and we were 3 miles away from that monster. Friends of ours had a turkey barn that was leveled.
