The SevereStudios live storm chase cameras will be active on days when storm chasers are in the field tracking storms. You will be able to follow the chasers LIVE, and watch the storms as they happen!
Active Cameras
Down Cameras
(Cameras active in the last 3 hours but not currently up or a streamer that will be streaming live video later on today.)
NOTE: Video streams are a copyright of the individual storm chasers and are NOT FOR COMMERCIAL USE OR REBROADCAST without prior licensing agreements. Not all ChaseCams are listed. We currently have over 100 feeds! We will be displaying feeds when they have been active within the last 24 hours.
Attention Media Outlets: If you would like to use one of these feeds for commercial use, please contact either Kory, Kenny or Ben using the contact information on our profiles. We will assist you in getting in touch with the chasers streaming.

Using flash encoder.
I'm producing videos for the net - streaming and multicast. We used to make everything with Windows Media - no reason, we simply used it because that was the thing we knew worked ok (not more but ok). For the past year we've dropped the WM Encoder because we found that Adobe Flash Encoder is giving a better picture (once encoded) then anything else. It's to the point that you can run a 320 wide screen at 400% and still be very clean.
Are you planning to move to Flash Media server (so we could use FM encoder) instead of all the MS software. I'm not bashing on MS.. That software is doing the job. I'm just saying we could get a better rendering of our feeds if it was under Flash.
And it's alot easier to broadcast (multicast) archived videos with progressive download.
Archives
David,
We keep archives. Due to bandwidth constraints, we will not be offering them for download for free anytime soon.

My sister lives in SW Jonesboro, Ar. I live in central Arkansas, but was watching your live moderator feed yesterday afternoon. He (I'm sorry that I can't remember his name) talked of a storm that would be effecting the Jonesboro area that looked to have a hook echo developing. Thanks to him, I called my sister and she had ample warning to get to a shelter in plenty of time! There was damage reported just blocks away from her home, but she was safe in her neighbor's shelter!
I can't thank you enough for everything y'all do! There will never be another severe weather outbreak in Arkansas, that I don't have you guys on my computer! Thanks again!
Very cool when chasers and
Very cool when chasers and meterologists pair up! I was watching ryan vaughn while it was all going down & i have to say all of you did an awesome job! Congrats on capturing one on video and thank you for helping to keep us all safe!
Superb job all streamers......
Wow, what a show you're all putting up for all of us that are too far from those big thunderstorms.
Lou, Chris, Roger, Stu , all ... You were great today. And it all completed with a super lightning show by Chris Rice ha ha. Here's a pic from Chris's Webcam - a hit on the other side of the street:

Nice shot. And we also know that a car wash is a great place when you got hail falling . Isnit it Chris?
Thanks all, I hope to be as good next week ;-)
5/2/08 Earle Tornado
This service has really shown it's true colors now. NWS MEG watched our feed as the Parkin/Earle tornado touched down and grew to a massive cone. There special weather statement and Ryan Vaughn's "Tornado Emergency" wording based on our video likely saved lives! There were no reported fatalities from this high end EF-3 storm. That's a miracle.
ONE MAP FOR ALL!
could you provide one map pop-up with all your teams on it?
it would not be cluttered and heavy like the spotternetwork one is and you could add radar as well... one MAP window with all the info for this particular network...thx!
Kory
Kory's coverage is Great - Heard and saw him on KELO as well as this site.
