Seeking Chase Team Members for 2008 Season

Do you want the opportunity to join the leading chase team in the upper Midwest?

SevereStudios founders Kenny Allen and Kory Hartman are looking for individuals that are interested in chasing storms in the 2008 season. We are looking for chasers that have at least three years experience, are SKYWARN (or other Weather Service training), RACES, REACT, ARES or Emergency Management trained, and computer literate. Previous media experience is preferred, but not required.

Successful candidates will become members of the SevereStudios Chase Team. This includes the opportunity to publish a blog, upload photos and videos, and stream live video feeds from the field to our SevereStreaming.com servers.

There is also an opportunity to have your personal reports presented on local media outlets. If you have your own chase vehicle, a digital camera or video camera, and are ready to chase in the upper Midwest, we want to talk to you.

Interested individuals will go through a short interview process and attend SevereStudios meetings. All successful candidates will go through an orientation and training period.

Desired candidate skills include:
-- Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing.
-- Computer-literate performer with software knowledge covering a wide variety of applications.
-- Resourceful team player who excels at building trusting relationships with colleagues, the NWS, media outlets, and the general public.
-- Strong desire to give back to the community, serve at will, and donate time and energy.

We need individuals that are ready to participate in and help develop one of the largest, highly coordinated, and focused chased teams in the upper Midwest. We seek candidates in all locations in the Midwest as this will help us cover more area more effectively. While there little-to-no pay, you will be given SevereStudios apparel, access to the SevereStudios site, and a SevereStudios email address. You will also not have to pay for any website fees, streaming fees, etc.
