First Tube
Congrats as well! I wasn't able to get a bit closer - We were busy chasing the crap to the north and didn't get south fast enough. As it was we had to core punch this cell to see this tornado.
I didn't get to see any damage. We went way west on 42 but didn't see anything. Cell coverage sucked, and I needed to edit the video and get it online so we called off the 'search for damage'.
I realized later (A few weeks ago) that I had filled up in Earle, AR on 4/10 just 3 weeks prior to the town taking a direct hit. I wish I had gone back and helped out in any way I could, but talking to Brett Adair it sounds like they already took control of the situation within 10-15 minutes after the town took the hit and I wouldn't have gotten far.
This was my first tube too.
This was my first tube too. We were in a bit closer, but I love this perspective. Nice job guys! Did you get to see the damage to the farmstead it hit? Bad news...
Yeah, we gotta watch our
Yeah, we gotta watch our language - lol. I put a warning up.
It really did take a team. I was driving through most of the trip - but Chad Rust (One of our HAM Radio/Skywarn Spotters here in Lansing) was with me. He did some driving while I edited some video and navigated for awhile.
Our servers apparently did slow to a crawl. We are already working on new solutions! :)
Awesome video.
Awesome Chase recap video Ben, This makes up for the other 2 busts right? Severestudios got some great feedback through the media thanks to you guys. And like the title, of the overall blog...
"May 2, 2008 SevereStudios Chase Team Video - Tornadoes in Arkansas and Mississippi" Keywords being "Chase TEAM" Because it really does take a team, it takes 2+ people + Nowcasters, even more so when getting in terrain like you did.
Who were the other voices in the background?
And you May want to add a "Strong Language" warning or "Viewer Discretion is advised"
Awesome job to the whole team, and thank you for the streams! I at one point thought the servers were going down, it moved so slow.
