Slight Risk Sunday 7/28/08

Sunday, July 28th was an active day for only a Slight Risk of severe weather. Numerous wind damage reports and a few tornado reports came in from Iowa, Missouri, and Illinois.

Tornado Warning is in effect for Jasper and Polk counties in Iowa. Trained weather spotters have reported a tornado near Elkhart in Polk County Iowa.

Tornado Warning for portions of the Des Moines, IA metro area. An 82 mph wind gust was measured in Boone, IA.

New Tornado for York and Adams county on the cell just to the west of the previous cell. It appears it'll be taking the same track, however, there isn't a very pronounced couplet on radar.

A brand new Tornado Warning has been issued for York County in South Central Pennsylvania.

Kory Hartman had between egg and baseball sized hail this morning 8 miles southeast of Stickney, SD. Here's a picture of him holding up his "trophy"
