SevereStudios Inc. is proud to debut the third edition of our website and related technologies. Since we started SevereStudios.com over three years ago, we have continually enhanced and upgraded our site on a year to year basis. This year we have been able to make good on many of our dreams for the website and the chaser community.

As of today, we enter a new era of technology at SevereStudios. We are utilizing new streaming tools while enhancing the classic versions. We have enhanced all security measures to further protect against theft. Our new video players and encoders significantly reduce downtime and connection issues.

One feature, our member accounts, have been drastically enhanced. Unfortunately, we had to purge all of our member records to accomplish our site upgrade. We apologize to the almost 1,000 members that will have to register for an account again. But, we think you will find the new member features worth the trouble.

Your FREE membership now includes these services:
*Free Windows Media Streaming Account
*Free Member Page (i.e. "SevereStudios.com/users/YourMemberName") - included "Facebook" style profile.
*All your personal member content can be tracked on your profile page.
*Free access to create content, including Blogs with attached image, Linked YouTube and Google Videos, and upload Images. (More enhancements before March 1st, 2009)
*Enhanced interaction with other members.
*Access to new SevereStudios shows, including the Weather Lab, Storm Center, and more.
*New communications tools.
*More to be announced over the next two weeks.

SevereStreaming Windows Media Version and the Live ChaseCam Network have been redesigned from the bottom up to increase performance and features. The Windows-based Streaming Video player now reconnects and buffers if a feed is lost temporarily. The thumbnails on the Live ChaseCam Network auto-update every two minutes, eliminating the need to refresh your browser. Finally, new overlay graphics help watermark your video in order to protect your streaming video better.

We would like to thank Tyler Allison from AllisonHouse.com and SpotterNetwork.org for his continued assistance with integrating live GPS data with our Live ChaseCam Network.

This list is just a few of the major steps we have taken to improve the end user experience at SevereStudios. We have more to come over the next two weeks. Check back daily!

Thank you again for making us the Leader in Severe Weather Streaming. We could not do it without our members, team, and staff!
