About

- Member and represenative for CoCoRaHS in Hood County, Texas.
- Weather Volunteer for WFAA Channel 8 News in Dallas, Texas.
I have been involved with chasing and spotting for 15 years. As a child I was horrified of Storms. I finally got the courage to conquer my fear in Second Grade. I decided to go out on the porch and actually see what was so scary about storms. I watched the storm and became fascinated. I was taking every opportunity I could to watch and Learn about Thunderstorms. As I grew older the fascination became a hobby and started to become a Storm Spotter when in was 18 for Skywarn in Dallas, TX. I then decided to become a Storm Chaser and started to chase storms in the local DFW area and eventually expanded my Chasing areas to Central and West Texas and Part of Southern Oklahoma.
"Why Do You Chase?"
I get this question all the time. I Chase not only as a hobby bust most importantly to help provide vital information that the public needs to be aware of during a Severe Weather event. Its important to understand that Chasers are not out there just to see a Tornado. We are there to provide information on Severe Weather, I.E. Strong Winds, Hail, Lighting Strikes, Flash Flooding. I want to be able to give as much information to the Public as I possibly can to ensure that lives are saved.
