About

I am Proud to be part of the SevereStudios chase team. For over 20 years, I have been a professional producer and videographer. My current interest is providing live video and situational data from the field.

My interest in weather started when I was very young. I grew up in Indiana and we had our share of storms. I can remember laying in my bed at night and watching the lightning dance across the sky during those fast summer straight line storms that Indiana is famous for. I am still view them with awe and wonder. The power of nature is astounding. One of my early intercepts of a tornado was in Secor, Illinois. Seeing all the inflow, rotation, and changes in the environment completely overwhelmed me. Severe Weather is the ultimate pure power of nature. I chase to to help give to some ground truth for the NWS, and the public.

As a professional videographer, capturing the weather events on tape is a passion of mine. I am developing the StormCam system, that will allow never before seen situational awareness of a weather event.
