I'm a RN and live in Parma,Missouri,that's in new madrid county in the bootheel. I've really only seen a couple of tornadoes, but the one i remember most was one in 1981 or 1982 which was a F4. It hit Malden Missouri and made a right turn before it hit Parma. I still can see that thing in my mind even though it was over 20 years ago. I remember how huge it was.. During severe storms i watch KAIT8 out of jonesboro arkansas cause they have the best coverage in the area. Even though he doesn't exactly cover newmadrid county missouri,i know when he talks about dunklin or butler counties i need to go on guard then.
I not only love the weather i'm also a huge sports fan.
