About
My interest in storms comes from me being a teenager in Dayton, Ohio when Xenia was struck by an F5.I can still remember looking southeast and the color of the sky towards Xenia. My father was the head photographer for WHIO-TV and was one of the first ones there. The next day he took us from Cincinnati to Xenia, tracing the storm, and into Xenia. I will never forget the devastation and the stillness of a town torn to shreds.
My dad still has a huge blown up picture of the tornado in his archive of pictures. And I have my copy, to always remind me of the beauty and devastation all wrapped in one incredible tornado.
To this day I am intrigued, scared and respectful of tornados. I enjoy following the chasers as they continue to document and help warn the public. We are fortunate to have websites like this today...and hopefully it will help to inform people and save lives.
This is my last year in PA., then heading down to Lexington, KY. Even though I was born & raised in Dayton, my heart is in Lexington.
