About
My passion for weather has been part of my life since childhood, where I began tracking weather and collecting various rain and temperature data during Southern California's winter rainy season. I became fascinated with severe weather during Southern California's summer monsoon season, and the infamous Santa Ana winds, with it's destructive hurricane force winds, would leave its mark of fascination as well. I have been storm chasing for over 20 years. I spend nearly every available free time during summer monsoon events chasing storms across the mountains and deserts of SoCal and Arizona. I am completely obsessed with thunderstorms, and will pull all-nighters watching, photographing, and videographing lightning. During Southern Califorina's winter and early spring seasons, Pacific systems deliver thunderstorms, hail, waterspouts, funnel clouds, flooding, and mountain/desert snowstorms. I am always out and about chasing these events. During middle/late Spring, I focus time chasing severe weather in the Great Plains.
In 2008 I enhanced my storm chasing experiences by streaming live video for viewers on the internet through various streaming services, including Severe Studios. I officially joined the Severe Studios team in 2009, providing live and recorded content for various local and national media outlets. This has enabled me to provide year-round coverage of significant weather events across the Southwest, and severe weather in the Great Plains.
When I am not following weather, I try and spend time doing other things I enjoy such as fishing, hiking, and camping.
My day job finds me as I.T. Manager for an aerospace contractor located in the Orange County area of Southern California.
Being part of the Severe Studios team has been an enriching experience for me, and I am proud to be part of this team.
