A major winter storm will impact the northeastern US through Friday morning with heavy wet snow, gusty winds and near blizzard conditions at times, especially tonight.

Snowfall accumulations will range between 10 and 20 inches in many areas. The snow will taper to drizzle and snow showers Friday with snow showers lingering into the weekend.

Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Delaware.

Heavy snow is also forecast in parts of Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
