Moderate Risk Again Today

Widespread severe weather is again in store for the middle parts of the country today. There is a Moderate Risk stretching from the Missouri/Arkansas border northeastward into the Ohio Valley. This includes Memphis, TN, Little Rock, AR, Evansville, IN, and Greenville, MS.

4-13-22 Severe Weather Outlook

All modes of severe weather will be possible with storms that develop today. The SPC states, “Tornadoes, some of which will be strong, widespread and potentially significant damaging thunderstorm winds, and large hail are likely especially within the Moderate and Enhanced Risk areas.”

The potential for significant tornadoes (hatched area) reaches from northern Louisiana and Mississippi into southern Illinois and Indiana.
